Job Summary

SpecialtyCare continues to grow and we have an excellent opportunity to join our Revenue Management department as the Team Lead Accounts Receivable Representative. This role is responsible for 

Supporting management of the full lifecycle of independent dispute resolution (IDR) cases under the No Surprises Act, ensuring timely submissions, effective communication with arbitrators and payers, accurate documentation, and proper fee management to support favorable outcomes and regulatory compliance.

    • Manage timely and accurate payment of IDR administrative and arbitration fees, reconcile all associated transactions, and coordinate with accounting to resolve any discrepancies or processing issues.
    • Conduct regular audits of portal data to remedy data inconsistency, identify issues/trends and drive process improvements.
    • Monitor and manage dispute activity across multiple internal and arbitration portals, ensuring documentation accuracy and maintaining up-to-date records.
    • Identify and escalate issues that may compromise case integrity, compliance, or timely resolution under the No Surprises Act.
    • Support management of all correspondence with certified IDR entities, ensuring timely responses and accurate documentation.
    • Support management of open negotiation communications with payers to promote case agreements and reduce the need for formal IDR filings.
    • Investigate and resolve dispute closure discrepancies in collaboration with IDR entities, ensuring proper documentation and accurate case resolution.
    • Build and maintain strong working relationships with arbitrators and payer representatives to support smooth dispute resolution.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including accounts receivable, cash posting, and other operational departments, to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
    • Cross-trained to provide support and serve as a backup for the IDR Specialist when needed.
    • Build good rapport with team and other SpecialtyCare departments.
    • Provide clients with exceptional customer service.

    Perform other duties as assigned.

·       High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

·       One (1) year certificate from a college or technical school, preferred.

Experience:

·       Five (5) years of related experience in an Accounts Receivable.

·       An equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

 

·       High attention to detail, ensuring personal and team efforts are accurate and precise.

·       Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume

·       Good understanding of debits and credits and the billing process.

·       Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 

·       Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

·       Proficient with a computer and good knowledge and understanding of MS office programs, and email. 

·       Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 

·       Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 

·       Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
