The Position:

SpecialtyCare has a new opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our talented finance team! The Senior Accountant processes journal entries, reconciles balance sheet accounts, and oversees and understands the general ledger and how it impacts the company’s monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements. This is a hybrid opportunity in our Brentwood, TN corporate office!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage various general ledger accounts including reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Analyze variances in account activity and report accordingly.
  • Prepare GAAP financials including balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows for major subsidiaries.
  • Prepare financial analysis and respond to management inquiries.
  • Collaborate with external auditors in schedule preparation and respond to audit questions.
  • Recommend policy and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Assist in preparation of presentation of financials to member managers on a monthly basis and to Board of Directors on a quarterly basis.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • CPA certification or track preferred.
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience with revenue recognition.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus.
  • PeopleSoft experience is a plus.
  • Experience with system maintenance is a plus.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience, acceptable.
  • Possesses initiative and willingness to learn new tasks quickly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office.
